Disabled Dog Mobility is an independent, free disabled-dog mobility support project run by Ian Ross in the United Kingdom.

What information may be processed

You can use much of the public guidance without creating an account. Where account or charity tools are used, the service may process information you choose to provide, such as an account email address, wheelchair or equipment details, dog name, case reference, fitting information, short operational notes and information needed to provide the requested feature.

The Mobility Guide is designed to provide practical mobility guidance. Do not enter information that is not needed for that purpose.

Usage information

The service may keep privacy-friendly aggregate usage counts, such as page visits and the number of Mobility Guide questions. These counters are intended to help understand which parts of the service are being used. They are not designed to store the text of questions, names or dog details as analytics data.

Normal hosting infrastructure may also process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the service.

Why information is used

Information is used only as needed to provide the requested service, operate wheelchair and charity tools, support account functions, improve reliability and safety, prevent misuse, and understand aggregate use of the service.

Photos, robot clips and AI processing

Features that involve stored photos, robot event clips or AI report processing should only be used where the relevant feature and consent choices are enabled. Robot clips are intended as event snippets rather than continuous recording. AI report processing is designed to be skipped unless AI processing is enabled and the user has consented where required.

Data minimisation and charity use

The service is designed to collect no more information than is reasonably needed for the feature being used. Charity users should keep sensitive owner contact details in their own approved systems unless a production feature specifically requires them, and should follow their own privacy notice, lawful basis, access-control and retention rules.

Retention and deletion

Information should not be kept longer than needed for its purpose. Where account privacy controls are available, users can review privacy settings and may be able to export or delete their account data. Retention periods can vary depending on the feature and whether information must be kept for security, recovery or legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the information held and the applicable UK data-protection rules, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or other information about how it is used. You can also withdraw optional consent for features that rely on consent.

Service providers and hosting

Disabled Dog Mobility uses third-party technical services to host and operate the application. These providers may process limited technical or stored information on behalf of the service where needed to provide their infrastructure.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect the service, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should protect their account credentials and avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information.

Children

Disabled Dog Mobility is intended as a practical service for people caring for disabled dogs and is not specifically directed at children. Do not knowingly submit a child's personal information through the service.

This policy may be updated as the service changes. The date at the top of this page will be changed when a material update is made.
