Rear support and quad support are not the same

A rear wheelchair mainly supports the back end. A quad system adds front support and four-wheel stability. If your dog cannot reliably support or control the front end, do not assume a rear-only chair is enough. New, sudden or painful weakness needs veterinary assessment.

Some adjustable wheelchair systems can accept a front attachment to create four-wheel support. This is manufacturer-specific: confirm compatibility, size and configuration rather than assuming any front attachment will fit any rear chair.
